Meherrin Agricultural and Chemical Company is seeking a Manager of Fleet Operation to lead a 150+ tractor-trailer fleet, ensure FMCSA/DOT/IFTA/IRP compliance, and drive cost-efficient operations. This role requires CDL Class A and strong leadership across divisions.

You will oversee maintenance, safety, budgeting, and technology adoption to optimize fleet performance and regulatory adherence for a growing organization with 2,100 employees. Expect travel to company locations and vendor sites.

Qualifications

• This role requires 10+ years in fleet operations or logistics leadership.
• Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience managing people and fleet operations.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, IRP, IFTA regulatory requirements.
• Experience budgeting, vendor management, and vehicle life cycles.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and analyze fleet data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fleet strategy aligned with company goals.
• Lead a team of fleet compliance and operations professionals across units.
• Ensure fleet support meets operational demands across divisions.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of tractors, trailers, and ag equipment.
• Prepare specifications for vehicles and equipment; manage purchases.
• Provide budget recommendations for fleet operations; manage approvals.
• Maintain licenses, registrations, and compliance programs.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs for the entire fleet.
• Monitor and improve fleet safety programs and driver training.
• Track KPIs for fuel, maintenance, compliance, and productivity.
