Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Technician to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on our Budget Truck fleet, including box trucks and cargo vans.

You will participate in oil and fluid services, tire rotations, and related tasks, with opportunities to assist senior technicians and gain experience toward ASE certification. This is an on-site role in Charlotte, NC with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; class A, B, or C preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior auto maintenance experience.
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Six months auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive tech program is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair on Budget Truck fleet (box trucks and cargo vans).
• Conduct oil and fluid services, tire repairs and rotations, and related tasks safely and with quality.
• Assist more experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostics as needed.
• Possibly drive Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operations.
