Job summary

Fluence, a global leader in intelligent energy storage software, seeks a Tools Developer to strengthen its Americas Services by designing tools for fleet observability and reliability across the BESS fleet. The role spans software development, Linux system administration, OT, and service engineering to reduce downtime and improve customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate combines Python proficiency with Linux/Ubuntu experience, Grafana dashboards, DAS, OS7 environments, and edge computing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 5+ years in software development, automation, or OT environments.
• Proficiency in Python development and scripting.
• Experience administering Linux/Ubuntu environments.
• Experience building monitoring, troubleshooting, or observability tools.
• Experience with Grafana dashboards and alerting.
• Experience with REST APIs and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain tools to improve fleet monitoring and reliability.
• Create applications, automation scripts, and diagnostic tools for service teams.
• Develop proactive monitoring solutions to identify issues before impact.
• Build Grafana dashboards and alerting to aid operational decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale solutions for BESS fleets.
• Support RCA efforts with automated diagnostics and workflows.
• Maintain documentation for software, architecture, and deployment procedures.
• Assist with critical customer escalations by developing diagnostics.
