Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. seeks a Fleet Mechanic to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel and gas-powered vehicles. The role requires travel to job sites and vendor locations, and a valid CDL is mandatory.

Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, mechanically skilled, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with fleet maintenance software and diagnostic tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines and related systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and repair guides.
• Capable of identifying safety issues and mechanical defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel and gas engines to identify mechanical problems.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services.
• Repair and replace engine components including fuel, exhaust, intake, and electrical systems.
• Inspect and maintain hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems.
• Utilize computerized diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repair tracking.
• Document maintenance and repairs in Fleet Management Information System.
• Conduct post-repair road tests to ensure safety and compliance.
• Travel to job sites for on-site repairs and emergency maintenance support.
