GCT Chauffeured Services in Charleston, SC seeks a Fleet Mechanic to oversee maintenance, repair, and DOT/FMCSA compliance across shuttles, buses, executive sedans, and vans, ensuring 24/7 readiness.

You will diagnose diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air‑brake issues, develop preventive maintenance schedules, supervise technicians, and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience as a diesel or automotive mechanic, including supervisory experience.
• Proficient with fleet maintenance management and diagnostic tools.
• ASE certifications preferred; CDL Class B license or ability to obtain within 90 days preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA vehicle compliance and inspection requirements.
• Experience with motorcoaches and large shuttle/van fleets.

• Oversee maintenance and repair operations across shuttle, bus, executive vehicles, and vans.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and air brake systems.
• Coordinate mobile repairs and manage vendor relationships.
• Maintain maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and manage on-call coverage.
• Support 24/7 operations with emergency repairs as needed.
