DuraFleet Charleston is seeking an experienced Lead Mobile Diesel Technician to service the Charleston metro, diagnosing and repairing diesel fleet vehicles in the field. You will communicate clearly with customers and document work thoroughly to maintain our 5-star service standard.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of commercial vehicle/diesel/fleet maintenance experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability; able to work independently on site.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and suspension across equipment range.
• Proficient with electronic diagnostic tools and OEM/aftermarket service software.
• Ability to document work digitally and clearly.
• Professional communication and customer service mindset.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to travel within the Charleston metro.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and park a company truck at home.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose diesel engine, electrical, brake, steering, suspension, drivetrain issues.
• Use diagnostic equipment, multimeters, service info, and troubleshooting practices.
• Complete mobile repairs at customer facilities, fleet yards, and roadside locations.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and flag safety concerns.
• Maintain digital work orders with labor, parts, notes, and photos.
• Keep the service truck and tools organized and road-ready.
• Help establish service standards as Charleston operations grow.
• Mentor and train other technicians on diagnostics and customer communication.
• Coordinate with Business Owner on parts, pricing, and job planning.
• Represent DuraFleet professionally with fleet customers.
