Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a Fleet Mechanic III in Petaluma, CA. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse fleet including diesels, electrics, and propane equipment.

The role includes mentoring junior mechanics, maintaining vehicle records, and managing parts inventory. Expect a competitive hourly rate with benefit offerings and potential overtime/weekend work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ year of mechanic experience on a fleet.
  • Able to work on all vehicle types (diesel trucks, electric and propane forklifts, etc.).
  • Lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Bring your own tool set.
  • Willing to obtain ASE Heavy/Medium, CDL A, DOT brake & annual inspection, and A/C cert within first year.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
  • Repair vehicles as needed and document vehicle records.
  • Use Cummins/Navistar diagnostic software for troubleshooting.
  • Disassemble/overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and electrical systems.
  • Manage parts ordering and inventory; mentor junior mechanics.

Job Overview
Fleet Mechanic III - Petaluma, CA
About the Role
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, perform DOT inspections (3 years’ experience) and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy, trailers, vans and forklifts.
  • Able to use Cummins, Navistar etc. diagnostic software
  • Disassembles and overhauls motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems.
  • Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records.
  • Manage ordering and inventory of parts.
  • Will act as a mentor to the class I & II mechanics.
Shift and Schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • 7:00am until the work is completed
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You have great communication skills. You are a problem solver with technical aptitude and a willingness to keep learning.

Total Rewards
  • Pay starting at $49.00 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $51.45 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • 1 year or more of mechanic experience on a fleet
  • Must be able to work on all types of vehicles (diesel trucks, electric and propane forklift, etc...)

  • Able to supply your own set of tools to perform the job
  • Willing and able to acquire the necessary certifications and licenses needed for the position within the first year of employment to include: ASE Heavy and Medium duty certification, DOT Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A), DOT brake and annual inspection certification, and A/C certification
