Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper in Northlake, IL is seeking a Fleet Mechanic II to perform maintenance and repairs on light and heavy vehicles, trailers, and forklifts. You will disassemble and overhaul major components and manage vehicle records.

The role requires at least 2 years of fleet experience, own tools, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to obtain ASE, CDL A, and other certifications within the first year. Shift: Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:30pm with overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of fleet mechanic experience.
• Ability to work on all types of fleet vehicles.
• Lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must supply own tools.
• Willing to obtain ASE Heavy/Medium, CDL A, DOT and A/C certifications within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, trailers, and forklifts.
• Disassemble and overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems.
• Complete vehicle records and maintain documentation.
• Manage ordering and inventory of parts.

Fleet Mechanic II - Northlake, IL

About the Role

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans and forklifts.
• Disassembles and overhauls motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems.
• Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records.
• Manage ordering and inventory of parts.
• Will act as a mentor to the class I mechanics.

Shift and Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 2:00pm to 10:30pm or when the work is finished
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You have great communication skills. You are a problem solver with technical aptitude and a willingness to keep learning.

Total Rewards

• Pay starting at $37.51 per hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of mechanic experience on a fleet

• Able to supply your own set of tools to perform the job
• Willing and able to acquire the necessary certifications and licenses needed for the position within the first year of employment to include: ASE Heavy and Medium duty certification, DOT Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A), DOT brake and annual inspection certification, and A/C certification
