Job summary

Falck A/S is seeking a Mechanic Level I/C to perform quality mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on emergency vehicles. You will diagnose, repair, and service fleets, using diagnostic tools and manuals, while maintaining a safe shop environment. Tools are provided, and you must supply your own basic hand tools.

Growth toward Level II/III is supported. The role emphasizes safety, documentation of maintenance, and collaboration with field personnel and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of experience repairing and performing preventative vehicle maintenance on emergency vehicles or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across teams and with external customers.
• Satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Replace bulbs/fuse as needed to complete functionality of associated system.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on all company vehicles: oil, oil filter, air filter, lubricate chassis and top off fluids.
• Replace drive belts, pulleys and pumps.
• Diagnose OBD-II codes with diagnostic tools: Xentry, IDS and MDI.
• Brake repairs on disc brake systems and conventional drum brakes: replace pads, rotors.
• Diagnose and repair suspension: shocks, wheel sensors, hub assemblies, tire mounting and balancing.
• Coolant system repairs: water pumps, thermostats and hoses.
• A/C repairs: condensers, accumulators and evaporators; leak test and recharge.
• Diagnose, maintain, test and repair electrical systems components; ignition, alternators, batteries.
• Engine: replace/repair components under supervision of higher-level mechanics.
• Transmission: remove/repair/replace components under supervision of higher-level mechanics.
• Maintain work area and shop in clean manner; follow safety standards.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure repairs are complete before release.
