Job summary

The City of Bellevue, Washington seeks a Mechanical Services Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment, including light and heavy-duty trucks and off-road machinery. You’ll work with a team in a union environment, following safety protocols and using Maximo for maintenance records.

This full-time role requires hands-on skills, problem-solving, and the ability to work alternative shifts and on-call during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED with automotive or trade coursework.
• Three+ years progressively responsible mechanical technician experience.
• Experience with fleet maintenance software (Maximo preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on City vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records in the computerized maintenance system.
