Job summary

Ruppert Landscape in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Mechanic to maintain and service a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks and landscape tools. You will keep records, ensure safety, and support operations with hands-on repairs and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to supply personal tools as needed.
• Safety-conscious with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment including power equipment, mowers, trucks, and trailers.
• Recondition vehicles and equipment twice a year to meet safety and image standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Document and maintain service and repair records accurately.
• Provide excellent internal customer service, prioritizing efficiency and communication.
• Assist with other operational tasks as assigned.
