Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking a Mechanic to join our in-house fleet maintenance team in Durham, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and service diesel and gas trucks, mowers, trailers, and power equipment to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and presentable.

Qualifications

• A safety-first mindset and commitment to safety regulations.
• Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to supply personal tools as needed to perform the role.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with diesel engines and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Recondition vehicles and equipment twice a year to meet image standards and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Document and maintain service and repair records.
• Provide exceptional internal customer service and prioritize efficiency and quality.
• Assist with other operational tasks as assigned.
