Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking Fleet Mechanics to keep our mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment running safely and reliably. You’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems in a fast-paced workshop and on job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical diesel certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician is a plus.
• Willingness to work variable shifts.
• Entry-level candidates welcome; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools; willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.
