Job summary

SRM Concrete, a national leader in ready mix concrete, is hiring Fleet Mechanics to keep our mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other essential vehicles running safely and efficiently. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply—we offer on-the-job training for those new to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, rebuild or replace major components, and ensure safety and record-keeping in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Willingness to work variable shifts as needed to support fleet operations.
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply—we offer on-the-job training for those new to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician is a plus.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.
