Zusammenfassung

SRM Concrete is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines and a wide range of heavy equipment, including mixer trucks and loaders. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and ensure safety standards on and off job sites.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply as on-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to advance within a national leader in ready-mix concrete.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• On-the-job training available for entry-level candidates to learn diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience as diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.
