Job summary

Agua Fria Union High School District is seeking a Mechanic to maintain and repair district fleet vehicles, ensuring safe operation and compliance with safety and emissions standards. The role requires CDL Class B with P&S endorsements, ASE certification is preferred, and a clean driving record.

The candidate will drive any vehicle assigned, manage work orders, order parts, and keep detailed maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• AZ CDL Class B with P and S endorsements and AZ Bus Driver Certificate are required.
• ASE journeyman mechanic certification preferred.
• Clean driving record, no more than 8 points in 39 months.
• CPR and first aid certificates required.
• Must pass physical and annual drug screening.
• Must have and maintain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair district fleet vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Complete work orders and manage priorities.
• Identify, order, and secure parts for repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components including video equipment.
• Maintain records of time, parts, and repairs for each vehicle.
• Ensure vehicles meet safety and emissions standards.
• Drive any vehicle assigned as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
