Global Medical Response seeks a Mechanic in Richmond, VA to inspect, repair, and service ambulances and support vehicles. The role emphasizes reducing downtime and delivering reliable, safe vehicles for our crews and patients.

Candidates should have high school education, a valid license, and relevant ASE certifications. The position expects experience in mechanical and electrical repair, with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping in our maintenance system.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent education.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license.
• ACE/MAX ACE
• 2 years verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper / Associate experience.
• 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series). Preferably Brake and Steering / Suspension.
• MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Mechanic Intermediate performs mechanical and electrical repairs per policies and procedures.
• Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.
• Utilizes parts computer program to locate needed parts and verify correct application.
• Mechanic Intermediate uses maintenance database to document all completed tasks / job assignments.

Mechanic (Richmond, VA)

• $30.00 per hour or more based on experience! annualized starting compensation range.
• Total annualized compensation depends on qualifications, and experience.

Position Summary: The Mechanic role is responsible for retrieving vehicles due for service or repair, with the goal of reducing down time and increasing the quality and delivery of our services to the crews and our patients. The delivered produ ct is a clean, mechanically sound vehicle inside and out. It is important that the product produced is maintained to the highest standard.
