Job summary

AMR is seeking a Mechanic in Richmond, VA to inspect, diagnose and repair ambulances and support vehicles. The goal is to minimize downtime and ensure vehicles are safe and ready for service, both inside and out.

Responsibilities include mechanical and electrical repairs, field breakdown response, parts lookup, and documenting work in the maintenance system. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; ASE certifications are preferred and encouraged within the first year.

• Must have a current valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications required within the first year of employment; two ASE certifications (Truck or Automotive) preferred.

• Utilizes parts computer program to locate needed parts and verify correct application.
• Mechanic uses maintenance database to document all completed tasks / job assignments.

• $30.00 per hour or more based on experience! annualized starting compensation range.
• Total annualized compensation depends on qualifications, and experience.

Position Summary: The Mechanic role is responsible for retrieving vehicles due for service or repair, with the goal of reducing down time and increasing the quality and delivery of our services to the crews and our patients. The delivered produ ct is a clean, mechanically sound vehicle inside and out. It is important that the product produced is maintained to the highest standard.

• Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field whenrequested.

MinimumRequiredQualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent education.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license.

ACE/MAX ACE

* Preferred ASE, HOWEVER, must be obtained within the firsts year of employment.

• 2 years verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper / Associate experience.
• 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series). Preferably Brake and Steering / Suspension.
• MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
