Job summary

Global Medical Response in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Mechanic to ensure retrieved vehicles are mechanically sound and ready for crews and patients. The role focuses on reducing downtime and delivering high-quality, reliable vehicles.

You will respond to field breakdowns, locate parts via the parts system, and document work in the maintenance database. A HS diploma and valid driver’s license are required; ASE certifications are preferred and should be obtained within the first year.

Mechanic (Baltimore, M.D)

• $30.00 per hour or more based on experience! annualized starting compensation range.
• Total annualized compensation depends on qualifications, and experience.

Position Summary: The Mechanic role is responsible for retrieving vehicles due for service or repair, with the goal of reducing down time and increasing the quality and delivery of our services to the crews and our patients. The delivered produit is a clean, mechanically sound vehicle inside and out. It is important that the product produced is maintained to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanic Intermediateperforms mechanical and electrical repairs per policies and procedures.
• Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field whenrequested.
• Utilizesparts computer program tolocateneeded parts and verifycorrectapplication.
• Mechanic Intermediate usesmaintenancedatabaseto document all completed tasks / job assignments.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent education.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license.

ACE/MAX ACE

Preferred ASE, HOWEVER, must be obtained within the firsts year of employment.

• 2 years verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper / Associate experience.
• 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series). Preferably Brake and Steering / Suspension.
• MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under time constraints
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Credentials/Licenses:

• ASE Certified
