Job summary

Crabapple LandscapExperts in Atlanta’s Metro area is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet of trucks and small engine equipment. The role covers preventive maintenance, inspections, and compliance across communal properties, HOAs, and corporate campuses.

You will work with a small team in Lawrenceville and Holly Springs, using diagnostic tools and MS Excel to track service records and budgets, while keeping outdoor operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mechanic on fleet vehicles and small engine equipment.
• Proficient with basic vehicle mechanics and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and fleet management software.
• Clean driving record and ability to drive a company truck.
• Comfortable working outdoors and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and small engine equipment.
• Diagnose and repair pickup trucks, dump trucks, box trucks, trailers, and equipment like weed eaters, blowers, and mowers.
• Conduct quality inspections and audits on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Enforce DOT compliance and ensure vehicle registration, insurance, and inspections stay current.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and manage an inventory system.
• Work with the Director of Fleet and Facilities on the yard, budgets, and equipment purchasing decisions.
