Perimeter-Solutions-Group in McDonough, GA is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our diesel and gas trucks, trailers, and equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance and diagnose issues to keep our fleet safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel/Fleet Mechanic or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs.
• DOT inspection certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, tire, and hydraulic issues.
• Troubleshoot diesel and gas-powered equipment problems.
• Service and repair small engine equipment.
• Complete DOT inspections and maintain compliance.
• Document repairs and communicate equipment status.
• Maintain an organized shop and manage parts inventory.
• Coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors when needed.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Basic computer/tablet skills for maintenance records
• DOT inspection certification or willingness to obtain

Preferred:

• Diesel truck and trailer repair experience
• Small engine repair experience
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
