Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manages drivers’ activities to meet Hogan expectations and client needs.
• Identifies and addresses driver performance through coaching and discipline.
• Interviews prospective drivers and makes hiring recommendations.
• Conducts 30- and 60-day driver performance reviews.
• Coaches and trains drivers on customer service, safety, and Hogan policies.
• Coordinates services to customers including scheduling to maximize profits.
• Schedules and directs drivers based on customer requests and needs.
• Monitors driver performance and daily activities and maintains records.
• Prepares and monitors daily truck and driver schedules.
• Communicates traffic and routing hazards and creates contingency plans as needed.
• Manages a fleet of tractors and drivers for on-time pickups and cost control.
• Ensures a safe working environment and compliance with safety laws.
• Ensures drivers are trained and understand customer and company expectations.
• Performs daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
• Interacts with drivers to answer questions and ensure loads are delivered on time.
• Works to reduce turnover and promote workforce longevity.
• Ensures driver payroll is accurate and submitted timely.
• Other duties as assigned.
