About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and capable Fleet Manager and Driver to oversee and manage their vehicle fleet in the Paarl, Western Cape region, while also fulfilling driving duties. This hybrid role demands an individual who can effectively manage vehicle maintenance schedules, ensure compliance with regulations, and step in to drive when required. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a practical understanding of vehicle operations and maintenance. This is an opportunity to take ownership of fleet operations in a key agricultural and industrial area.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's vehicle fleet, including scheduling maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations and licensing requirements.
• Operate company vehicles (e.g., light commercial trucks or vans ) for deliveries and operational needs.
• Maintain detailed records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance history.
• Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns or emergency situations.
• Coordinate with external service providers for vehicle repairs and upkeep.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (Code 10 or higher preferred).
• Proven experience in fleet management or vehicle maintenance coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to drive and operate commercial vehicles safely.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and preventative maintenance.
