Job summary

Maverick Transportation, LLC is seeking a motivated fleet supervisor to lead and develop a team of over-the-road drivers, ensuring safety, efficiency and alignment with corporate goals. You will provide training, coach performance, assign routes, and coordinate disciplinary actions when needed to maintain high standards.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in a related field (or equivalent), 6–12 months of related experience and up to 12 months of management exposure, with a strong

Job Description: GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Supervise and coordinate a fleet of over the road drivers by providing training and education and ensuring the drivers are focused on reaching corporate goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Control cost by following established guidelines and promptness of: swaps, T-Calls, and repowers.
  • Generate accurate weekend pay reports.
  • Assist and participate in the creation of department actions plans that support the company’s strategic business plan.
  • Establish, modify, document and coordinate job documentation or areas managed.
  • Manage, assign, delegate and direct duties of drivers.
  • Appraise performances, coach, counsel, reward and discipline drivers.
  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts.
  • Terminate drivers, if necessary.
  • Support and enforce operational and personnel policies, company programs and procedures.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
  • Ensure company confidentiality.
Education and Experience

Prefer a four-year college degree with an emphasis in a related field to the position plus 6 – 12 months related experience and/or training and 0 – 12 months previous management experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Working Conditions

Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
