Job summary

Maverick Transportation, LLC in Laurinburg, NC is seeking a Fleet Supervisor to lead a team of over-the-road drivers, align operations with corporate goals, and drive performance and safety across the fleet.

You will train and coach drivers, manage costs, and participate in department planning while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies. A four-year degree is preferred with related experience.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree preferred plus 6–12 months related experience and/or training; 0–12 months previous management experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a fleet of over the road drivers, providing training and education.
• Control costs by following established guidelines for swaps, T-Calls, and repowers.
• Generate accurate weekend pay reports.
• Assist and participate in the creation of department action plans supporting the company’s strategic business plan.
• Establish, modify, document and coordinate job documentation or areas managed.
• Manage, assign, delegate and direct duties of drivers.
• Appraise performances, coach, counsel, reward and discipline drivers.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts.
• Terminate drivers, if necessary.
• Support and enforce operational and personnel policies, company programs and procedures.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending appropriate training.
