Job summary

Sagepoint Energy is seeking a Fleet Manager in Green Bay, WI to oversee all fleet operations, including vehicles, equipment, and driver activities, ensuring efficient and compliant transportation of loads.

You will coordinate driver scheduling, route optimization, and truck logistics to maximize daily load capacity while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance with DOT/FMCSA requirements. The role emphasizes leadership and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of fleet management or logistics experience.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Strong leadership and ability to supervise a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify improvements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire fleet operations, including the management of vehicles and equipment.
• Responsible for scheduling drivers, optimizing routes, reducing downtime, and ensuring maximum loads per day.
• Manage a team of for-hire drivers responsible for over-the-road routes, ensuring they are kept up to date with licensing, credentials and compliance.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to improve fleet operations and efficiency.
• Manage all truck logistics, tracking, accurate bills of lading and invoicing
• Oversee the maintenance of driver ELD devices to ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure that all vehicles are well-maintained and equipped with necessary safety equipment.
• Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in logistics and transportation management.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to improve fleet efficiency and profitability
