Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and 3 years hands-on vehicle maintenance or body shop repair experience.
• Must be an effective communicator with ability to present in diverse settings.
• Knowledge of training materials, maintenance-related software, and inventory systems; diagnose bus electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Instruct apprentices on proper, safe vehicle maintenance techniques.
• Coordinate selection and evaluation of on-the-job trainers.
• Develop, present, and update training content, manuals, and tests.
• Integrate technology-based training with staff and stay current with new technologies.
• Maintain training records, schedules, and required reports.
• Communicate training needs with maintenance management and coordinate schedules.
• May operate revenue and support vehicles to coordinate training.
• Develop assessments to evaluate learner progress and track qualifications.
