Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician in Dracut, MA to keep our fleet running smoothly through preventative maintenance, diagnostics and timely repairs. You’ll work within a safety‑driven, team‑oriented environment that values hands‑on problem solving and reliability.

You’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform precision measurements, and apply welding where needed while adhering to industry regulations.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform duties.
• Valid CDL when required.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment safely and timely, including preventative maintenance and diagnostics.
• Build, rebuild and repair parts of equipment as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures on trucks and related equipment.
• Read precision instruments and perform electronic diagnostics.
• Weld on converter dollies when required and ensure quality welds.
