Job summary
Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running smoothly. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out timely repairs to ensure reliable service.
Reading precision instruments, using electronic diagnostic tools, and applying welding as required are essential. You must provide your own tools and comply with DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations while supporting a team‑oriented, safety‑minded work
Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent education.
- Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
- Ability to read instruments and perform diagnostics.
- Must possess a valid CDL when required.
- Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.
Responsibilities
- Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Build, rebuild and repair parts as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures in trucks and related equipment.
- Read precision instruments and use diagnostic tools.
- Weld as needed to complete repairs.
- Adhere to DOT/OSHA regulations and participate in training.
