Job summary

Job description

Fleet Mechanic – Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA)

Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA) is PepsiCo's beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit. PBNA seeks a Fleet Mechanic to ensure the reliability of our fleet and support the safety of our drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs independently.
  • Use leading‑edge technology such as voice application, Noregon diagnostics, Mitchell 1, Uptake predictive analytics, and TAAS.
  • Work on Pepsi’s diverse fleet, including automobiles, light and heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts.
  • Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts.
  • Maintain vehicle records and pre‑trip checklists.
  • Answer service calls.
  • Support a large fleet supporting operations across North America.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Own basic hand tools; diagnostic, ergonomic, and high‑tech equipment provided.
  • Physical capability to lift, pinch, bend, reach, climb, and manipulate objects.
  • Must pass a forklift driving skills test if applicable.
  • Mechanical knowledge of gasoline and diesel repair.
  • Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems.
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines and preventive maintenance.
Preferred Experience
  • Repairing forklifts (propane, electric, battery, hydraulic systems, pallet jacks).
  • Computer skills (iPad, desktop, handheld, laptop; diagnostics with Noregon/Autometer; voice application; INFOR; Geotab).
  • Manufacturing standards: Mitchell 1, OEM support tools, electronics, latest technology.
  • Valid U.S. Class A or B CDL and experience driving trucks (class 8, 7, 6, medium duty).
  • Repairing heavy‑duty and light‑truck equipment (engines, brakes, tires, liftgates, etc.).
