Job summary

Republic Services in New York State is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks under supervision. You will support our drivers, service a technically advanced fleet, and participate in ongoing training on new technologies.

Responsibilities include basic preventive maintenance, inspections, oil changes, and light repairs, with opportunities for career growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems for preventive maintenance and repair.
• Able to follow SOPs and troubleshoot common faults.
• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains basic knowledge of a vehicle’s mechanical and electrical systems for preventive maintenance and some repairs.
• Performs oil changes, fluids replenishments, tire changes, and light repairs; conducts visual inspections to identify issues.
• Completes company training programs and performs other duties as assigned.
