Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Gardiner, ME seeks a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground level offices, and modular buildings.

Under supervision, you’ll perform basic maintenance, document work orders, and support CDL A drivers when needed. This hands-on role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid state driver’s license, basic IT skills, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on Mobile Storage equipment (containers, offices, modular buildings).
• Complete assignments on time and within budget; document work orders and materials.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers as needed.
• Follow 5S and keep shop, yard, tools, and supplies organized and secure.
• Safely operate forklift and related equipment as required.
• Inspect inbound/outbound equipment per Rental Flow procedures.
• Ensure equipment readiness and accurate time/material recording.
