Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is hiring a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment including containers, ground level offices, office trailers and modular buildings. With supervision, you’ll perform cleaning and maintenance tasks safely in line with company standards.

You will also complete work orders, document activities, and travel to customer sites to set up trailers and assist CDL A drivers when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active state class driver’s license is required.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills are required.
• Construction knowledge and background preferred.
• Demonstrated time management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to utilize information technology effectively.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment and tools.
• Accurately record time and materials for work orders.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on Mobile Storage equipment.
• Follow safety standards and company procedures.
• Complete tasks on time and within budget per Work Orders.
• Document work orders and inspections accordingly.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers when needed.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of shop, yard, tools, and supplies.
