Job summary

United Rentals in Midland, TX, seeks a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment, including containers and office trailers. Under supervision, you will perform cleaning and basic maintenance to keep equipment safe and compliant.

Responsibilities include basic repairs, powering mobile offices, tire checks, and on-site support for CDL A drivers. Strong teamwork, time management, and a high school diploma are required; safety-sensitive role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Related maintenance experience is a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service abilities.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and warranty processes.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Hook mobile office to power source.
• Check tire pressure and lugs.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers as needed.
• Operate forklift.
• Complete work orders and documentation.
• Maintain organization of shop, yard and tools.
• Follow 5S guidelines and meet cleanliness standards.
