Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Fleet Preventative Maintenance Technician to service and inspect fleet vehicles and equipment across multiple locations. You will maintain records, drive safety, and coordinate with teams to minimize downtime.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of mechanic experience, and knowledge of preventive maintenance. A valid driver’s license and background screening are required, with ASE or hydraulic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of mechanic experience with knowledge of preventive maintenance scheduling and fleet equipment service.
• Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostic equipment, mechanical systems, and repair best practices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background, MVR, and pre-employment drug screening processes.
• ASE certification and hydraulic equipment experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance activities on fleet vehicles and equipment across assigned locations.
• Inspect, diagnose, clean, lubricate, and service equipment while identifying potential mechanical or operational concerns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work logs, inspections, and inventory documentation using approved systems and processes.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to schedule maintenance activities and support efficient fleet operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering parts, supplies, and maintenance materials as needed.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide recommendations and guidance regarding preventative maintenance practices to support equipment reliability and performance.
