Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Fleet Preventative Maintenance Technician to support safe and reliable fleet operations. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service across dispersed locations.

The technician will maximize equipment availability, reduce downtime, and promote a safety-first culture in daily activities, while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational or trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of mechanic experience.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling and fleet equipment service.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening.
• ASE certification and hydraulic equipment experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance activities on fleet vehicles and equipment across assigned locations.
• Inspect, diagnose, clean, lubricate, and service equipment while identifying potential mechanical or operational concerns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work logs, inspections, and inventory documentation using approved systems and processes.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to schedule maintenance activities and support efficient fleet operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering parts, supplies, and maintenance materials as needed.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide recommendations and guidance regarding preventative maintenance practices to support equipment reliability and performance.
