Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment under supervision. You will service fleet vehicles and support drivers with routine repairs, ensuring reliability and safety across the route network.

The role emphasizes basic knowledge of vehicle systems, adherence to SOPs, and opportunities to learn new technologies through on-the-job training and company programs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or automotive service.
• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification (T8 PM) is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow SOPs and troubleshoot common faults.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems for preventive maintenance and light repairs.
• Perform oil changes, fluid replenishment, tire changes, and basic electrical work.
• Complete company training programs and follow safety procedures.
