Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Fleet Technician I in Panama City, FL. Under supervision, you will maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment including containers, ground level offices, and modular buildings.

Responsibilities include basic maintenance, inspections, and completing work orders on time, plus documenting work and assisting CDL A drivers at client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active applicable state class driver's license.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers’ warranty process.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.
• Safety Sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on mobile storage equipment.
• Hook mobile office to power source and check tires and lugs.
• Complete work orders accurately and on time; document as required.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers as needed.
• Ensure equipment modifications meet specifications and codes.
• Maintain clean and organized shop, yard, tools, and supplies following 5S.
• Advise supervisor of supply needs and perform routine inspections.
