Job summary

TransWest is hiring technicians to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of buses, shuttles, and light/heavy-duty vehicles. You will diagnose, fix, and optimize major systems, keeping thousands of passengers moving safely daily.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience maintaining and repairing vehicles or completion of a vocational program or related degree.
• Career-path placement based on experience and skills.
• Experience diagnosing and maintaining electrical, brake, powertrain, steering, suspension, HVAC systems.
• Experience with transit buses or fleet equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Review defect reports and maintenance schedules to maximize vehicle availability.
• Maintain accurate records, labor hours, and parts inventory.
• Use OEM diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot systems and determine solutions.
• Conduct road tests and field service; respond to breakdowns or emergencies.
• Support installation and troubleshooting of onboard vehicle technology.
