Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years vehicle maintenance with 6+ months supervisory experience.
• Must operate a manual transmission truck.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of tractor/trailer maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT rules preferred.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Multi-tasking oriented with good organization.
• Basic Microsoft Office and Internet skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop maintenance employees.
• Ensure equipment repairs are completed in a high-quality and timely manner.
• Monitor employee performance and provide corrective action.
• Plan daily staffing to meet workload.
• Provide support to Operations on equipment issues.
• Monitor and analyse opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
• Perform payroll approvals and maintenance-record tasks.
• Ensure clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment.
• Communicate with Fleet Maintenance leadership to meet needs.
• Coordinate with safety and other departments on issues.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
