Job summary

FedEx Freight seeks a Shop Supervisor to manage maintenance personnel and equipment readiness at a FedEx Freight shop. You will lead, develop and evaluate staff, ensure timely repairs, and coordinate with Operations to meet company needs.

The role requires 2+ years in vehicle maintenance with supervisory experience, a valid license, and knowledge of DOT rules. Travel to job sites may be needed and a strong emphasis on safety and cost control is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years vehicle maintenance experience with at least 6 months team lead/supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Manual transmission truck operation knowledge helpful.
• DOT rules knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop maintenance staff.
• Ensure high-quality, timely vehicle repairs.
• Monitor performance and provide corrective action.
• Plan daily staffing to meet workload.
• Support Operations on equipment issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
• Handle payroll approval and records.
• Maintain safe, clean working conditions.
• Coordinate with Fleet Maintenance leadership and vendors.
• Hold pre-shift and weekly Operations meetings.
