Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a technician team responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of trucks, containers, and related heavy equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and compliance with federal/state regulations, while directing work planning and shop activities.

You will mentor technicians, conduct training and performance evaluations, and coordinate with management on improvements and budget planning.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or management position.
• Familiarity with DOT, OSHA and other federal/state regulations.

Responsabilités

• Supervise technicians in the maintenance shop and lead daily shop huddles.
• Plan and schedule repair work to ensure safety, efficiency and timeliness.
• Monitor performance and redirect activities as needed.
• Report to management and propose process improvements.
• Perform inspections of outside repairs for compliance with safety procedures.
• Oversee inventory control and budget adherence for the shop.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose and validate repairs when required.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of engines, emission systems, hydraulics, electrical and HVAC systems.
