Job summary

The role requires 3+ years in diesel/heavy vehicle maintenance, OSHA/DOT knowledge, and strong leadership. SAP proficiency is a plus; overtime, nights, and weekends may be required to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3 years performing repairs and maintenance on diesel powered heavy vehicles
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT rules and regulations
• Experience managing maintenance staff
• Welding experience preferred
• Waste industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance staff, including training, scheduling, and overtime authorization
• Conduct employee reviews and monitor attendance
• Prioritize work to meet operations needs and ensure efficiency
• Coach and mentor direct reports in SAP usage
• Communicate fleet status with management and operations
• Ensure safety and quality standards in the maintenance department
• Perform vehicle inspections and review parts inventory
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely
• Train employees to meet standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers
