Job summary

City of Albuquerque is seeking a supervisor to oversee routine servicing, maintenance and storage of City-owned motor coaches and staff vehicles. You will supervise staff, assign work and review performance while ensuring safety standards are met.

Required: High school diploma or GED with 30 vocational vehicle servicing/repair credits, four years in fleet servicing, and at least one year in a lead role; valid NM CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education/experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
• High school diploma or GED with 30 vocational credits in vehicle servicing or repair, plus four years of fleet experience.
• At least one year in a lead or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule and/or perform servicing of City buses and vehicles.
• Interview, select and train staff; assign and inspect work.
• Maintain injury, incident and property-damage reports; conduct evaluations and corrective actions.
• Perform technical tasks or instruct staff in those tasks.
• Maintain inventory and monitor budget; order supplies when needed.
• Ensure on-the-job safety training and drive motor coaches as needed.

Education

High school diploma or GED + 30 vocational credits in vehicle servicing/repair

4 years fleet vehicle servicing experience

1 year lead or supervisory experience
