Job summary

Athens Services seeks a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee shop activities, audit maintenance programs, and supervise personnel to ensure safe, timely equipment service. The role focuses on compliance with FMCSA/ CHP regulations and optimizing tire and inventory processes across the fleet.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, promoting safe work practices, and leveraging technology to improve shop performance. Ten years of managerial maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ten years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager.
• Directly managing 15+ shop employees daily.
• Experience with environmental compliance (storm water reporting, hazmat manifests).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, CSA/BIIT and safety programs.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn maintenance software quickly.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Fleet Periodic Maintenance Inspection Program and audit processes to ensure quality inspections and repairs.
• Oversee the Fleet Tire Program, including air pressures, tire repairs, and tire matching across the fleet.
• Ensure proper parts inventory management and organization; conduct regular inspections.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to maintenance staff to promote safety and teamwork.
• Ensure fleet compliance with Federal and State regulations (FMCSA, CHP).
• Promote the use of technology to improve shop performance (Dossier).
