MPW Industrial Services in Pittsburgh seeks a reliable Lead Mechanic/Maintenance Manager to oversee a large fleet and daily shop operations, ensuring equipment reliability and safe, productive work processes.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate repairs and fabrication activities, review drawings, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining thorough records and compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, fabrication, or related industrial operations.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices, equipment inspections, and shop operations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in an industrial shop for extended shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance and fabrication shop operations to ensure productivity and quality.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff while supporting skill development.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct quality inspections on fabricated and repaired equipment to ensure standards.
• Enforce safety policies, PPE, and safe work practices.
• Review drawings to support troubleshooting and equipment modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to support production goals.
