Job summary

Industrial Service and Installation (ISI), Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic Manager to lead a team of mechanics responsible for the upkeep of trucks, trailers, and welding generators.

You will oversee maintenance, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence while optimizing downtime and documenting repairs and parts usage. The ideal candidate has extensive mechanic experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs with minimal

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• State inspection license; CDL preferred, not required.
• Experience working on commercial trucks.
• Must have your own tools.
• Previous experience as a mechanic.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Oversees and coordinates daily activities of mechanics; ensures compliance with federal, state and local vehicle regulations (DOT).
• Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as: power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
• Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Maintains vehicle records for services and repairs.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with ISI / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Monitor spreadsheet of all company vehicles with updates to leadership team on behalf of mechanic team.
