MPW Industrial Services in Pittsburgh seeks a reliable Lead Mechanic/Maintenance Manager to oversee a large fleet and daily shop operations, ensuring equipment reliability and safe, productive work processes.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate repairs and fabrication activities, review drawings, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining thorough records and compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, fabrication, or related industrial operations.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices, equipment inspections, and shop operations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in an industrial shop for extended shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or extended hours as needed.

We’re looking for a dependable Maintenance Manager to lead daily maintenance shop operations, oversee equipment reliability, and support a safe, productive work environment. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating repairs and fabrication activities, and ensuring equipment is maintained to high operational standards.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, fabrication, industrial operations, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair processes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices, equipment inspections, and shop operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during 8-12 hour shifts while working in industrial shop environments.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work around moving mechanical equipment safely.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or extended hours based on operational and maintenance demands.
• Ability to work in environments with exposure to industrial noise, dust, heat, vibration, grease, and required PPE usage.
