Job summary

The Fleet Mechanic Manager is based in York, PA and oversees the ISI fleet, including trucks, trailers, weld generators, and PIT maintenance. You will lead a team of mechanics, ensure safe operation, and maintain regulatory compliance while managing parts and repair timelines.

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience; state inspection license; CDL preferred, not required.
• Experience working on commercial trucks.
• Must have your own tools.
• Previous experience as a mechanic.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Oversees and coordinates daily activities of mechanics; ensures compliance with DOT regulations.
• Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules and upgrades.
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by repairing major assemblies and systems.
• Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls.
• Maintains vehicle records for services and repairs.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with ISI/OSHA standards.
• Monitors spreadsheet of all company vehicles and reports to leadership.
