Job summary

Venture Logistics, LLC in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections for tractors, trailers, and yard equipment. You will be the central contact between drivers, vendors, and the maintenance team to minimize downtime and control costs.

Responsibilities include scheduling PMs and DOT inspections, reviewing estimates, managing work orders in the fleet system (e.g., TMT), and supporting vendor relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical background preferred.
• 2+ years in fleet maintenance coordination or related field.
• Knowledge of tractor-trailer mechanical systems and DOT/FMCSA maintenance.
• Experience with fleet management software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, DOT inspections, and warranties.
• Serve as main contact for drivers and operations on maintenance needs and status.
• Open, track, and close maintenance work orders in the fleet management system (e.g., TMT).
• Review repair estimates and verify labor, parts, and invoices before approval.
• Monitor equipment at outside repair facilities to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate down units and repair timelines to dispatch and operations.
• Assist in vendor relationships — sourcing quotes and monitoring service performance.
